Talex speed camera detectors

I had read in another thread today comments from David Lindop and Steves`fl2 about devices produced by the above Company.
Their web page provides two devices, the Elite, and the Lite, with obvious price differences and abilities..
Has any one any comments to add ? And would the above two users have any comments.
Any help wouls be appreciated !

Hi
Yes i use the talex, well pleased with it, buy the Talex not the lite sytem. They have been taken over by Novus Systems, hence the free subscriptions, one small problem download site is not available until the end of Jan (just received an email from them) whilst site is updated with Talex information
A nice unit
Novus are also producing some new units, look on their site David

Thanks for the info both !!!!

I particularly like the idea of the Congestion charge zone warning. I have the old congestion charge zone on my Tomtom, but it doesnt have the "new " extension unless I buy a new map !

I note that the Company name has changed, but they only give one years free subsctiption which is a pity.

Thanks again

regards, Transman

what i would like to see with the speed camera are one with a wi-fi link to connect to my home network every night and automatically update the database.

My old navman has the speed camera database, and since the database is as good as its data, it got boring updating it everyweek. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Hi NPinks
I have rechecked the subscription situation. I have an email confirming I now get FREE updates for life with Novum, I was paying with Talex

David,

Have you a web address for Novus ? With the Talex site I get redirected to " Actve GPS Systems " then get redir to the Novus part of their site where I can now "preorder" the Novus.
I might have better luck if I could get straight to the " manufacturer "

Best Regards - Transman

Hi Transman
Go to www.talex.co.uk, you will find here you can enter your name, email and your message, I asked for update information, received reply saying site will be ready at end of month. Company is now Novus but appear to be still using Talex name
Any further help, you are welcome David
