I want to reinforce the above, my reminder from last week to be courteous is being ignored.

Continue like this and I will have to close the thread. DISCO3 manages to have a similar thread without the bickering, so I'm sure you can step up and behave too.

But what is it all about, none of us are angels on the road. we all without exception break the rules sometimes. yes the bike crossed a solid white line. so what Question there was a huge gap and nobody was inconvenienced by his/her actions.

Just saying it how I see it , not trying to upset anyone Very Happy

No worries. It didn't inconvenience me but I felt like posting it because it is an illegal overtake and I showed it to an experienced biker who said he would never execute such a manoeuvre even if it wasn't illegal. He said those hatchings really unsettle the front end.

Ride a 1050cc Triumph (been riding bikes for 40 years now) and ride on hatch markings often for my sin's so can't relate to that. The state of the roads nationwide nowadays are far worse than riding over a few white lines. Very Happy

I think no one is perfect when it comes to driving but there is a broad spectrum on how closely we abide by the law or not. Each to there own, my preference is to stick to the law and drive as safely as possible, never get flustered when someone cuts me up, try and be appreciative of other road users and enjoy driving. My Fl2 helps me do that. Stuff everyone else, they can drive how they like and if my driving to the speed limit bugs you then I don't care, so get worked up about it if you want.
These videos are interesting to watch, but I usually end up thinking there is not enough policing for whatever reason.
Happy and safe motoring everyone Thumbs Up

Looked to be riding too close and left himself without time to react to the slowing traffic Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Too close and there is no need to make another lane when the traffic is moving at that sort of speed.

I once had to travel 112 miles a day for 3 weeks on the bike in January. first couple days I used the M25 to get to the M3 but deemed it too dangerous and took another route.

Is it just me but does it look like he's then got the nerve to be remonstrating with, or accusing, the van driver? 2011 SD4 HSE Auto

Warning, contains swearing.

You can hear my voice indicating this looks tight, when he didn't slow or pull left into the 2ft of free road to his left I got on the horn because I knew we were going to hit.

Not only that but he didn't stop. By the time I got turned around I had cars between us, went through two villages before I caught him up, by which time I was bubbling nicely. First thing I said to him after slamming my car door shut was "Don't hit someone's car and Censored off like it doesn't matter"

First thing he said to me was "I haven't hit any ones car". I then pointed out his lopsided wing mirror and the video camera in my car.

Wing mirror clicked and clacked a bit at first but seems ok, so thankfully no damage done, but I didn't know that until we'd stopped.
