Thank You all & Good Bye

All

After 12 weeks unhappy onwership of my new FL2 due to a really terrible dealer (Statstone - Newcastle) and faults with the cars (Electrical Failure, non-start issues, engine mgt problems etc) I have decided to cut my losses and part company with Land Rover. It has got to the point where I am totally not happy with the car and I am thinking what will go wrong next!

However, I would like to say thank you to you all for all comments posted. I have really enjoyed the forum which I read daily, its a great site. Thumbs Up

Please enjoy your FL2, good cars just mine I think was a Friday late shift Car!.

For realibilty I have turned to the far east (Honda), who hopefully will provide a better service then Land Rover ever could. Good Luck All and enjoy your forthcoming adventures

Cheers All

Wow narvik, that's really bad news!!! Big Cry

Sorry to hear that you're giving it up, have you refused it to landrover or taking the hit and trading it in?

Would you mind PMing me the details of your dealings, who with etc? Just so I know who to be wary of in stratstone newcastle. Evil or Very Mad

all the best

Narvik

Sorry to hear your choice to leave the Land Rover Family, I hope our now even closer friends from Japan will treat you with great respect and you have better luck

But a mans-gottado-what-amans-gottado

You'll have to let us know how you get on with the Competition (Honda CRX i presume)

Whistle <--- Bugle playing "The Last Post" Thumbs Up

Funny you have done this today though, my cars in again (replacement rear view mirror) and i was wondering if i would leave Landrover and still stay with the forum. Its hard to join in if you don't have a LR.

Sorry to hear you are going. All the best with the new car Thumbs Up

The only other car I considered against the FL2 was a Nissan Pathfinder.....but that was only because it had almost 300bhp!.....and had it been built in Japan then I would have seriously considered it, but it wasn't, instead they are built in the US, which I did not fancy at all.

@ npinks, as you say once you don't have the vehicle or have lost interest in it, like I have with my Audi, then you leave those forums behind. I was a core (frequent) member of two Audi sites but in the end lost interest and with it my visits to the sites became less and less.......

It was with my TT that I first got into owners forums. I still pop by most days but don't spend nearly as much time as I do here!!

Maybe we need another category on this Forum - a "turkey" category Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Here you can add the registration plate of the FL2 that you have returned back to the Dealer, due to being sh*te.

In this way - when any other UK member visits a Dealer in the future - they can take this list and check it against the FL2's on offer. Thereby ensuring they don't end up someone else's rejected disaster ! Thumbs Up

It's also good that LR & the Dealers know they will have a real problem getting rid of a rubbish vehicle.

ur makin me nervous

now after reading this I'm nervous as all heck. I haven't had one single problem with my beautiful Stornoway Grey SE LR2 here in the US. 6200 miles and haven't even had my first service yet. But after reading this, me thinks its only a matter of time. Yikes! Censored

Jeeze I hope (no pray) I don't end up like Navrik! All the best to you and good luck.

I just hope he is not going for the RDX Crying or Very sad

don't tempt fait

Just look at it that nothing can be made perfect, and sometimes things need to be given back earlier than you originally wished. Others have opted for replacements, and others opted for a different make. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Is it one of those far eastern hondas that are built in Swindon? The one with a holder for your walking stick?
