Hdc button bulb

Now that the evenings are darker, I've noticed that the hdc button in my freelander 2 is not lit. The dsc button on the other side is so I assume the hdc should be too. Trouble is I can't remember noticing if it was lit before or not and cant find anything about if in the manual either.

Can anyone confirm if it's supposed to have a bulging it? I guess the next question would be how to replace the bulb...

Thanks,
Kev.

Thumbs Up

Button is not lit - but if HDC is active symbol will appear on instrument panel.

I noticed that too tonight Laughing

Wondering if switches are like on Freelander 1. i.e. they can be modifed to take an illumination bulb.

It's a bit rubbish that the switch isn't illuminated! Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green

This is what I was thinking of when re modding the switches to take a bulb: -

The HDC switch is probably the same moulding as the DSC one so may there's a chance. Will investigate later... Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green

My HDC button lights up green when the lights are on. Just been out and tried it in my garage. All the terain response symbols also illuminate green and turn orange when one is selected. Thumbs Up

HDC button has a Red Vehicle picture and a yellow bar, neither light up at any time, just the green icon in the display pod illuminates. TR buttons work as yours do.

What is your HDC button like OG?

Oh bother ! senior moment. Too busy spending all day looking at New XF 2.2 now 200bhp !

I got mixed up with DSC button, yeah weird really how HDC button doesn't illuminate although it gives you a warning light on the dash ! Cheap really.
