The parking sensors work through the audio system as I found out to my cost. If you change your audio system then you lose your parking sensors . The come through the canbus controller into the audio system and are amplified there - no LR audio system = no sensor sound. I've been looking at a way to solve this but it's not easy and there are no easy fixes so I've opted to forget them and fit a reversing camera instead. This will allow me to see what I'm going to hit when I'm reversing rather than hear it. I'm using a Pioneer AVIC HD1 BT system which has a screen on it so the camera is automatically activated when selecting reverse. Just need to get it all fitted when I have some time. the camera itself isn't too expensive , only about £ 70 but fitting is about 3 hours labour so I guess I'm looking at about £250 all in but on small prang when reversing would easily cost this so I reckon it's a fair enough price.

Mine doesn't appear to come from the stereo speakers. When I select reverse the beep seems to appear from behind my right shoulder which makes me thing it's in the door pillar somewhere Confused ______________________

i thought that with my new louder sound, parked close to the wifes car and the beep came from the front speakers, I know I put my ear to it Embarassed

I presume the sound will come from the rear speakers for the rear parking sensors Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

has anyone with USA spec LR2 added the front sensors at the dealer? Do they look as factory installed as the rear sensors? How much did it cost?

Thx Wink
