United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Santorini Black

I found that the tyres I wanted (Cooper AT3) were not available at most of the normal online retailers e.g. black circles. I ended up getting the best price by buying from http://www.4x4tyres.co.uk/ and then getting them fitted at my local dealer separately.

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Lago Grey

I'm currently looking around and am finding the same thing. I've been considering General Grabber ATs as summer tyres, but again they don't seem to be available from Black Circles et al. 4x4tyres have them though.

From what I can see, the AT2 is not available in 235/65 R17, but the AT is - is that right?

What else should I be looking at which can cope with the odd muddy field and track without being too harsh on the road?

To be honest Stevie i've never found better prices online, even big chains like Kwikfit will discount before they lose a sale if you are serious about buying. The big thing in your favour is you are 15 minutes away from BD3/BD4 haggling is a way of life in that fine town Rolling with laughter

Alba tyres on Leeds rd are always worth a bell, and over towards Emley NorthstarTyres and Hillam Tyres are worth calling

Other thing to do is ring Costco in Hunslet and ask what deals they have on, last year they were doing 4 Michellins for an amazing discount, i didn't have the time to go to costco and join so went to Bradford Thornbury Quickfit and very rapidly got a price match and ended up with the Pirellis I wanted all along. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

I would always go to my local dealer after looking online and getting an idea of what it would cost for tyre+shipping+fitting

If you want a specific type of tyre, look for dealerships that actually supply that specific brand of tyre, so that they dont need to order it in. Another thing I have found is that tyre dealerships are MUCH more accomidating when it comes to making a deal on prices. They may have a tyre in stock with a strange dimension that they didnt shift last year, and of course they can play around with the fitting cost.

Another important thing to remember is that reputible brands of tyre, such as Continental often have special offers that you may find hard to take advantage of online, and remember the warranty as well.. how hard will it be should you have a problem with a tyre writing emails to info@buycheapasstyres.com?

Its all relitave, but as a business owner, I have learned the hard way that there are many benifits to paying a little extra for a great deal more service. I put in the time to look for the best deals rather than invest it later on trying to sort problems.

England 2013 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Auto Sumatra Black

I need to get a new set of tyres now so i've seriously started to look around this weekend. Thanks everyone for your input on this thread!! All good input. Has anyone used Nexen ROADIAN HP tyres? They are at the cheaper end of the scale but have some good online reviews. Also kumho kl 16 have some good reviews. Anyone tried these? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

My local man is a Kumho dealer but said a couple of months ago that he couldn't get hold of any. There may be a supply problem or it may be just him...
I eventually got a set of Wintracs from AJS at a very good price!

I think I'm going to get general grabber uhp tyres. I don't plan on doing any off roading. Does anyone know the difference between the uhp and AT tyres? The site I've seen them on are only a fiver difference. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

AT's are noisier and only a 'Q' rating for speed, up to 99 mph.

Sorry you are wrong, the General AT in 235/65x17 is an "S" rating.

If anyone wants to have a good read up on the General AT tyre just go to my web site www.ajstyres.co.uk and click on the red GT logo about a third of the way down the home page on the left. Thumbs Up Andy.

Any one in the midlands and I could not recommend calthorpe tyres in acocks green enough. Small family business been running for 40 years. Friendly lads who know what they are doing and they have always done the best deal compared to big chains and the Internet.

I recently got two wranglers from them which they manage to source and fitted for 305 all in. Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints

I recently bought a couple of Goodyear Wranglers for my FL2 and I have to say the price was better, including fitting, from my local tyre fitter than any of those on-line stores posted. £280 the pair, fitted. Very Happy

Are the General Grabber UHP all season tyres and M+S rated? I'm looking for tyres but alot of sites are saying they are summer tyres. Tesco tyres recomend Infintity INF200 but not sure about Chinese tyres? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
