Is the alarm active - would setting it off force it out of sleep mode

Ive never even heard of this going to sleep malarky.

Is it possible to get a nearside handle with the manual release fitted and fit that to the drivers side as well?
Just in case it does happen.
I assume on a LHD car the manual release would be on the Right side? or do they still keep it on the left? thus the foreigners have the advantage over us here? in more ways than just that too.

If the cars gone to sleep and its fully alarmed, would rocking the car or thumping the windows operate the motion sensor /alarm and wake the car up?

interesting about the alarm.

It doesn't work when the cars gone to sleep ! Like every other piece of carp in this piece of junk !

The window was down a little, enough to get my arm in to the elbow and my daughter got her arm in all the way to the indicator stalk but not far enough to get the key fob in and the alarm never goes off.
The alarm only goes off if you open the passenger door with the key but obviously when its parked in the garage i cant open the door.

The only thing that works when its in sleep mode is the headlights ! if you touch the ind stalk the headlights come on and stay on !

so i expect someones going to tell me the alarms faulty as well !

Also need to ensure car is double locked to enable the volumetric/perimetric alarm is enabled.

How about making a hole in the wall big enough to get your hand/key through to use manual lock - you could then fit a metal plate like a soot box on chimneys in case you ever need to use it again
