Sat Nav dots on roads

Hi all, done a search on this but couldnt find anything.....Ive noticed on the sat nav screen that little dots appear on the roads I drive along and, it seems, on other roads I have driven on recently. Can anyone confirm that this is some kind of "memory" tracing where I've been, and if so, how long it does it remember for. Ive also checked the manual but couldnt see anything. Anyone know what this is? vroom vroom.........

The little dots are the route trace

It's actioned through the route options button

Not sure how long/what distance it remembers but my route began to disappear whilst on holiday in scotland over the two weeks i was up there.

and if you zoom out the little Stars and arrow in red and yellow are the Traffic management icons (TMC

(funny that my dealer wasn't sure what they or the little dot were Rolling Eyes ) Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Wish this thread never started. Its doing my eyeballs no good what so ever trying to work out the logic of those ****** dots. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit

Route trace is useful on unfamiliar roads or during off-roading so that so you can 'trace' your way back to civilization! Wink
