Have been waiting for these details to pop though.  1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

I dont like the new terrain response buttons though. You need the chunky dial... it makes it more like a Land Rover than an Ewoke sorry I mean Evoque (both are very similar in terms of fluffiness that I get them confused)

Been checking the net periodically for news on the new FL2. I am NOT disappointed. Can't wait to get my third FL2!! What a refreshing change with the interior. 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Orkney - waiting!

Looks good! Interior upgrade is way overdue. Pity about the electric parking brake - would have been better if they had also included "Autohold" as per the Passat - brilliant, especially with an auto box. Its nice but even if i could afford to get the same sort of spec to what i currently have its not really worth it! The changes to the interior are not radical enough, i do however like the new lights  When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car

They will be a few more bumpers and bits for sale again as those with 2006 models attempt to make theirs look like a new one.

The inside looks nice and refined and will drag the cabin back up in line with its higher end compact 4x4 rivals, and the outside is sharpened up especially with the lights, BUT under the slightly altered plastic bits it's still the 6 year old shape thats becoming dated, and although it will attract new customers alot of current customers like myself will struggle to see where there 20 odd grand has gone if they upgrade, i hope these are the last throws of the current FL2 and they bring a completely new one out before this one completely runs out of momentum and we get bored waiting!
Don't get me wrong I've had mine over 3 years and really like it, and would recommend to anyone, but i'm going off the boil waiting!

I can understand that they will be nervous about replacing such a successful vehicle in case they make mess up!

My vehicle has been sitting in a field since mid-July and I don;t get to play until mid-October (lease swop-over thingy) The wait has been worst ever and I have done a few of these now.

Does anyone know what the current xenon lights cost retro so I can get my heart-attack out the way early?

I just wonder how long LR will keep tweaking and upgrading and making it more upmarket until they actually say ok, time to retire the Freelander 2 and let's do an all new Freelander 3.
