My friend just had his freelander 2.2 td4 remapped as is now getting 38.6mpg instead of 28.9mpg previously plus a whole lot more speed , I know him very well

tell us more,who did it ,is it a remap or box

He had it done by Midland Remaps cost was £179... its a proper remap so everything has been changed via a 3d graph. Mpg has increase dramatically, and performance has also. No flat spots during acceleration etc.. More like the sd4 now!

Your friend has done very well to obtain such a good increase in fuel economy, but he is depriving the Chancellor of the Exchequor of valuable revenue to help get the country out of recession  2010 HSE TD4 auto, Biscay Blue, Almond Leather, facelift front and rear, detachable towbar, front & rear mudflaps, bib spoilers, clear high level brake light, smooth rear wiper, colour coded door handles.

Just had a look on their website, Very good value for money but its for the mobile service only.

Agreed .... forget the mpg on the dash - the only TRUE way to measure mpg is the 'tank to tank' method. Try it sometime and you will be surprised how inaccurate the dash reading is - it is purely designed as a 'feelgood factor' and can be vastly different to the actual mpg. Cheers,

My trip computer gives 3mpg more than the "Tank to Tank" calculations
