I purchased the tyre insurance at the same time as the vehicle. This was with Hunters part of the Inchape Group. The cost was £199 for 3 years and it gives a £300 limit per wheel including the spare. So cover is £1500 in all. Thought it worth the outlay on the basis that the Continentals on 19"rims cost about the same retail as the insurance premium.

When we bought our car from Farnells the rep ran through the 'options' (Gap insurance, paint protection extended warranty) etc there was a check box on tyre insurance but it was only valid for tyres up to 17'' so couldn't even have been included if we wanted. |
