Hello,had a puncture in the near side rear tyre the other day and drove for approx 3miles on it.Never new it had happend only i thought a rear window was not closed properly as a slight noise was heard.only found out when works security notified me i had a flat.It did not damage the alloy either yet it was totally flat good eh.Any body else had one and hurt there knuckles winding the jack up. I have a LR2GS with privacy glass and winter pack

I have not suffered a puncture, but have used the jack many times. I've used it to remove wheels for cleaning after off-roading events. There is no doubt the jack could be better, it requires a certain technique to operate without scraping your knuckles. The problem is the permanent attachment of the handle, it would have been much better if the handle was detachable and incorporated a universal(flexible) joint, so that the handle does not sweep across the ground .... .... ....

i used the jack when i got a nail in the side wall, not the best to use, but did the job Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Yep full size, ball busting, spare ....

When I picked up my FL2 the dealer told me not to worry about the jack - just ring Land Rover and get them out

Depends how long they took to arrive I think

Bad luck on me i suppose. Had my black 2.2TD SE since March and not had many problems.
The usual one of the sunroof leaking and then roof lining rattle when it came back.
Since had first service at 15K, now clocked up 18K +.

The only thing that has been a pain is that i've gone through 3 new rear tyres - 1 nail and 2 flints.
Don't do any off-roading (yet).
First it was the n/s/r in the first week, then o/s/r after 3 months then n/s/r again 2 months later.
No problems since, although now i'll probably get another one !!

I went through 5 Mitchelin tyres on my old car in 6 months due to normal wear and nails and a blowout

It must be just plain old bad luck

Your local tyre center must be happy !

Come to think of it - have you ever seen any of the tyre center fitters loitering around your car.........

At £160 each they could afford the Black Ninja gear to keep out of sight whilst wearing down the tyre edges or putting nails in the side walls, still not sure how they got to the tyre at 100mph on the motorway but they did  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
