so doors wont lock if car rolls away, gives you chance to chase it jump in and brake before it rolls of a cliff, runs over a pram etc etc.

They lock on my auto without accelerating. I guess that's because there's a slight 'drive' as it creeps forward Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass |

but in an Auto you have actively put it in D , so a driver must be in the car, fools who get out with car in D are not accounted for At work |

You're right, CG. I thought that after I'd sent the post. As you state, it has to have driver involvement. I doubt it'd self lock in manual, rolling down a slope. At least, I hope not |

But it does relock if you open it and then ignore it for a minute.

Doesn't using the clutch and that funny waggly thing some folk use instead of the auto selector count as human intervention then? Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

We use to do Extreme chinese fire drills! Put the car in first low range, everyone out run around the car and back in! |
