Summer is here at last

Have changed from winter tyres back to proper Goodyear MTRs.

No longer can I hear the whistle of the roof bars, the turbo, the auto box gurgle, the rattle from the tools in the boot. Just the glorious howl of mud tyres on tarmac. Very Happy

Just my luck it will snow next week. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

What winter tyres you been using Andy ? , I may plan for some later this year , got the std Wranglers on at the moment .
Did you notice much difference on the winter tyres ? , are they on other alloys ?

Thanks

Julian

Snap! Just got around to changing mine back during the weekend. Been meaning to do it for weeks though.

The irony was not lost that the sun was beating down and I'm lugging winter tyres about Very Happy

I don't run muds but the swap back reminded me that the GGATs are a bit noisier than the Wintracs they replace. The wheels are now tucked away but only have one more winter left in them Big Cry

Goodyear Wrangler Ultra Grip 235/60R18 107H

The winter tyres are on the original 18" alloys, the muds are on 17" alloys.

The winter tyres replaced the original fit Wranglers, to be honest I didn't notice much difference, but then thats the point, you don't notice your in slippy conditions, until you get out of the car, and fall flat on your Censored

The muds give a much more comfortable ride than either of the 18", but are not much good as a "sports" tyre.
Bit of a theme here
Goodyear originals, Goodyear winter tyres, Goodyear Mud summer tyres.

One of the best bits about the MTRs is that they will not aquaplane - ever, perfectly suited to our English summer with potholed roads filled with standing water Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
