England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Firenze Red
Armstrong Massey York

Dealt with Simon sales manager who did me a cracking deal in my opinion. Friendly, no hard sell and sensible advice. Got a LRE voucher when ordered and another when collecting.
Used first one at Skipton, had Adrian as instructor who was very good at his job and had a good sense of humour.
Can anyone recommend a different centre for second voucher? 2015 BMW

I used to the use AM too, got my first FL2 from them,

I also got good service from the service team on servicing, but 22 visits in 2.5 years was a little too many, they failed to fix a few issues i had, with the "no fault found line," and Farnells in Leeds fixed it and knew the fault had existed in other cars So now i use them instead.

Main thing is if your happy, then Thumbs Up

The final straw was drivers seat movement, felt a minute amount of movement on my new FL2 (bought from Lookers Park Royal) when braking and accelerating and took it to AM as my then servicing dealer, they had the car all day and i came to collect it with a no fault found Shocked

I hopped in the car, pulled away and felt the seat move Rolling Eyes , drove home and to farnells the following day and they had seen it before and fix it a few days later following a LR TSB

Whilst at AM i thought i would be polite and tell my previous sales person I had bought the other car, as when we had sat down he was £1000's out and i was still missing the DVD headrest, Roof bars and 19" wheels, obvious part of the difference was I bought a low mileage ex demo. To be standing there and be told he was disappointed as i had not given him a chance, if sitting at his desk asking for a best price and quoting on a near like for like car, isn't giving him a chance i don't know what is Confused

Just bear in mind the price your quoted at servicing is not the price you should pay I had some great discounted prices for work carried out, just don't use them for warranty, they look but don't fix, and i'm not the only one who has said that Thumbs Up

Thanks for the heads up on warranty work Thumbs Up which Farnell do you use?
Must admit had a slight problem with first sales person Mad and emailed a letter to DP which was intercepted by the sales manager. He handled our order the way I'd expect.
I did use Middleton on the Wolds LR before Strats took it over and closed it Big Cry had great service from them. 2015 BMW

Can't comment on the garages, but for the LR Experience i can recommend the one at Dunkeld, up in Scotland. We made a long weekend of our visit and stopped at the Hilton. The Instructor was first class and we basically spent the whole session pushing a RRS through its paces. No on road driving just told the guy we'd done all that at Skipton so both me and Mrs toeknee had a great time Thumbs Up

I once traded a defender in for an FL1 commercial at Armstrong Massey , fair prices good deal, but then their finance guy tried desperately and long windedly to sell me all kinds of extra insurances, not cheap finance blah blah blah. even told me that because it was a commercial I had to have LR finance Rolling Eyes . I came very close to telling them to forget the whole deal.

That was a good few years ago and if masseys have sense he will have been booted out long ago At work
