Too good to be true, another visit to the dealer

There I was thinking everything had settled down well apart from the self destructing anti roll bar, the self destructing luggage cover, several more fail to starts, two more occasions when the main odometer has gone backwards, the radio that looses it tuning .... .... .... Its been all of five weeks since car was last at dealer but now we must return.

Something has given up on the central locking, the tailgate wont open from outside, only way to open it is using the remote control. Well nearly, apart from when you first unlock the car it releases the tailgate regardless so you have to open it then close it before you can drive off. Ah well off into dealer darkness again !!!

Just had a phone call from LR customer service in response to my recently submitted customer service feedback, that was fun. I ticked the box to allow feedback to the dealer so am waiting to see what happens, lets just say I wasn't very kind about their organization, something along the lines of brewery, organize, Censored up, couldn't, in a !!!!

OK good marks to the dealer for offering me a next day appointment to get it fixed so car has been in today. But, as has happened before, I get a phone call late this afternoon. Parts required are not in stock at dealer so will have to be ordered, can they keep the car overnight. Luckily I don't need the car tomorrow so I let them keep the car. Last time this happened I picked the car up after the second day, without all repairs being done, went back 4 weeks later when parts finally arrived.

.. I wonder what tomorrow will bring ???

Well tomorrow brought me my car back, fixed !!!

The locking problem was traced to a faulty switch, the one you operate under the number plate plate light housing. Apparently it had taken in water and rusted !!!

Plus B post trims have been replaced, and the luggage cover has been replaced (it fell to pieces some weeks ago). They've interrogated the computer(s) for signs of the radio detuning problem and the fail to start, will have to continue to keep an eye on that.

And just to finish the job off the car has been washed and vac'd, (a really good job), the tyres have been 'dressed' so it looks great. And I was even given a 'complimentary' winter car kit in a Land Rover bag.

Have to say that I'm very pleased with level of service this time round.

Wish my dealer would replace the B post trims, dismissed it saying i was putting the seatbelt on wrong, but pulling it towards the front.

Told that was Censored as others were having the problem.

Will wait to see what LR say or do about on a whole.

But what was in your winter goodie bag? LR Fleece, Wooly Bobble Hat, LR Gloves or just a bottle of de-icer and screen wash?
