England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Baltic Blue
Insurance

Just got my renewel info for comprehensive cover named driver only rural Derbyshire with legal protection loan car fully protected.
£360 ABC insurance [LV]
Also got quotes from Confused.com and there were 28 quotes under £300 the best option being
£264.51 from LV Plus based on the above cover.
Am I missing something?, I thought insurance was supposed to be expensive, double checked all the info I input and all is correct.
Land Rover wanted £450 plus.
All the above carry the same £250 excess. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

Did mine two weeks ago, I have been with Landrover Insurance and the renewal came in at £293.54, fully comp, two drivers, replacement car and no claims protection. Told them I gained 6 points for speeding and they re-quoted at £393.63, still reasonable.
Like you speedway, I haven't seen a rise in Insurance cost other than my own doing.

I am with Sainsbuys insurance for under £300 with second river legal cover and car loan etc etc. Found it pays to go with a new company every renewal time. Stay with the same company and they really start upping the insurance quote.

Been told to expect mine to rise by 35% at next renewal due to Bradford postcode. This is due to all the uninsured drivers in the area.

If they knew how my wife drives they would put it up by more... Rolling with laughter There's always a way forward!

yep our office is in BD3 at Thornbury, in the past year I've seen several ANPR sites set up and massive stops and confiscations of uninsured cars using the cinema car park as the checking area, in the local papaer it said one of the confiscated motors was a Ferrari !

my Mrs on fully protected full no claims ha been quoted over £800 by NFU after they paid out for our Defender theft, as much as we love them we will have to shop around this year. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

My God how depressing... some very reasonable figures there...
I had specialist broker insurance on my previous car (a 2003 911 (996)) £550 through Aviva fully comp protected + 5 track days oly £150 excess...
Buy a FL2 and had to hunt for a week to find anyone less than £600 in my area!
Eventually got it down to £550 after some haggling but had to pay the lot upfront. Oh and it isnt protected and has a £300 excess! Unfortunately the specialist insurer only does "supercars" Censored
Left a bad taste in my mouth. A lot seems to depend on postcode... 57 HSE AUTO with H.I.D's - Grey with Black leather. (H.S.E. Heightadjustable Seats Extra Sad )
My Aviation website - UKHelicopterPilot.com Cool
