2011 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Lago Grey

Thats a very good question. I see the handbook still quotes WS913B but there is doubt in my mind given that the 2011 model has a DPF. Dealer used "bulk WS 913B" at the service.-whatever that means! I shall ask them again but frankly they are pretty useless and I shall no doubt get told "oil"!!

Good point. This is reality - LR quote oil specs all over the place but I guy I know at a local dealers told me they bulk bought Magnatec which went in everything regardless!

Likewise at a Ford dealer where I worked - 2 "specs" of oil were held on bulk.....10W/40 and 5W/30! John

Last service the Dealer filled my MY11 with DPF using Castrol Edge (recommended for Land Rover with DPF) ACEA C1

The important part of the spec other than the viscosity is the 'C1', this is the 'low SAPS' for an engine with DPF, otherwise look for the same viscosity but 'A5' for engines without DPF.
