Morrisons Land Rover of Whins of Milton, Central Scotland quoted £292 for my first Annual Service all inclusive of vat and materials.
I had phoned around and found this was the best price although they are charging £17.00 + vat for a courtesy car which declined I was also told that the service takes 3 Hrs. They said that they could drop me of in Stirling and pick me up when the service is finished.

Sounds a good deal to me.

I've been using Morrisons Stirling for a couple of years now and very pleased with them. Good service, (no pun intended) and very pleasant to deal with. Bear in mind it will most likely be your vehicle they will use to drop you off in town... Out with the old (2007 SE)
In with the new (2012 Dynamic with everything). Now also gone.

Hi Guys,

Mine is due for the 1st service in the next month or so.... I've been phoning around a bit for prices.... and boy do they vary... this is one thing I hate, dealers simply ripping their customers off....

All fully inclusive:

Stratstone Cheltenham £355
MJ Fews in Wootten-Under-Edge - £285 Very Happy
Hartwell in Oxford £399 but said he would do a deal for me - £370 Laughing
Guy Salmon in Stratford-upon-Avon - £359
Landrover in Droitwich - £348

So I'll be going to MJ Fews in Wootten-Under-Edge - I've also heard good things about them. I do have to travel about 35 miles to get there, but save £70 over my local dealer so well worth it.

Just got quotes from both my local LR dealers for first service. Unfortunately they are both Guy Salmon group so quotes were identical - £346 inc VAT Mad

Any other recommended dealers in Cheshire/Manchester area?

Edited to add Williams Manchester - another at £346 (?!) - and Stratstones in Stoke on Trent at £355 inc.

Another edit - after some persuasion Williams Manchester will give 10% discount, so £310 inc.

Thanks,
Gareth

Just asked local Guy Salmon (Leeds) for quote for first service.

Was a little bit pleasantly surprised when they quoted £259 inc VAT and use of courtesy vehicle.
Also agreed to let me have Disco 3 as courtesy test drive for the day.

Not too bad, but anybody bettered this around Leeds?

Cost of first service

Had four quotes this morning for the first service. Conwy:£304.60, James Edwards Chester:£346.00, Shukers Shrewsbury £322.58 and Cambrian Aberystwyth £233.00. Needless to say, there is a good reason why the vehicle was purchased from Cambrian Land Rover in Aberystwyth. They also serve very good coffee. I should also add that the software upgrade seems to have rectified the problems I was experiencing with the radio. So, I would buy another LR2 and I would go back to Cambrian Land Rover!

Service charges

I believe all the quoted prices include VAT. I double checked with Cambrian Land Rover in Aberystwyth before booking the vehicle in for the first service. Their price DOES include VAT.

Initial quote from a Stratstones Dealer was 378 inc VAT. I mentioned that people have been charged about 280 inc VAT around the country so they matched without any quibble.

Includes a courtesy car, but you do need to provide a cover note (free for me as I'm with NFU Mutual).
