Roof spoiler fitting

I have just spotted a roof spoiler for sale from Marshall parts on E-bay (149 pounds), has anyone dealt with this firm?. I was looking to get them to paint it and then I was going to fit it myself! Rolling Eyes Has anyone fitted one and what's involved or am I better off getting it done at a local body shop.. Confused

Cheers

Rob

Rob make sure the fitting kit is with it but from Marshall's who are a main dealer I guess all will be well. Fitting is surprisingly easy and held in place just by two brackets at either side of the spoiler. Definately something you can do. Thumbs Up

Hi rob

have you checked the prices with the forums sponsors?

I checked with Yoevil LR who sponsor Disco3 and they was cheaper than that IIRC but it was a couple of years ago Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Fitting is done by 3M double sided tape and then extra clips at each side, no drilling, just cleaning the surface with alcoholic wipes Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Having recently spent UK£1,000 with Marshalls I sent them an email this week saying I will not buy anything from them again. Why:

1: Never respond to emails (so I don't expect a reply to this week's) Evil or Very Mad
2: Never confirm despatch despite it being a request on all my orders Twisted Evil
3: Every time gave me an invalid TNT tracking numbers Evil or Very Mad
4: Badly packaged parts so that when they arrived they were scratched Twisted Evil
5: Specialised fixing screws missing from kit Evil or Very Mad
6: Sent a 3yr out-of-use-by-date Sealant (it was labeled Land Rover a BMW company) Twisted Evil
7: Failed to ship a product I ordered - not a small item that you'd accidentally overlook. The rubber load space mat. Evil or Very Mad
8: Charged me UK VAT on export order to CH. Switzerland is not in the EU and so UK export orders are VAT exempt. Twisted Evil

I'm going to try the Yoevil LR if npinks' says they'll do export orders large n small.

imo The best accessory ya can fit for immediate impact Thumbs Up I'm surprised they don't come ready prepainted separately as the full kit does.

Arrived last night, On first inspection it looked slightly wrong colour, until i took it outside, perfect match. good paint finish, well packaged etc. Have not fitted yet but once the snow goes away I will get some photos of it fitted.

Thanks
