How old and what capacity is the battery? The radio isn't the only item running while the vehicle is alive. All the modules are also running, so drain on the battery is high. An old or weak battery simply can't keep up with the electrical demand for long. If you're going to be listening to the radio for any length of time, keep the engine running. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. A new starter battery you will get about three 10 minute cycles of the radio, if not too loud.

I discovered that it is important to attach the battery charger cables correctly. The negative lead should NOT go directly to the Neg battery terminal but placed so as to include the BMS within the chraging circuit. eg a chassis earth. Jules |

What is the battery's voltage after it's been sitting for 24 hours, or at least 12 hours?

The magic eye battery indicator does little more than inform the viewer the the single cell which contains the indicator is 'fine' (or otherwise). The other five cells may be totally shot. https://carput.my/the-truth-about-car-batterys-magic-eye/ |
