again any help great!

In car clock gains a lot of time. Anyone else and how do I fix this as it's a bit random??

Also, bought the FL2 in 07. Whilst the radio refers to Digiatl, there is no digital. At the time the dealership said there were problems with it. Is it easy to get digital installed now?/

Not heard of the clock gaining time before.

As has been mentioned lots of times before. Digital on your radio controls refers to digital tuning not DAB radio. Easiest way to check if you have DAB is to cycle through the FM selector and you'll get FM1, FM2 and if you have DAB you will also get DAB1 and DAB 2 before returning to FM1. Don't think DAB was available on 07 models.

Seem to recall from elsewhere that it is not possible to retrofit DAB due to different wiring but may be wrong. Always try plugging a portable DAB radio into the auxillary socket. I did it on my 07 model and it worked OK.

On a serious note now:

I assume the clock is the one displayed on the radio screen - if so then it could be a fault in the radio unit.

Perhaps a hard reset might be worth a try - take the positive battery lead off for 10 minutes - this should force all the cars systems to reboot from 'cold' - certainly worth a try if not done already.... 2002 Honda VFR800

My clock gains time not as much as yours, about 5 to 10 min's a month, it must be a rare fault as I have asked the question before and nobody came back with a fix, mines a 2007 so could be restricted to models of about that age, lets hope somebody has an answer, it not a problem resetting the clock , just annoying. What if there were no hypothetical situations?

Mine gains time a little, but only about 5 mins between when we put the clocks back/on. Mines a 2010

Ours doesn't gain or lose, keeps perfect time  ______________________

The clock in my 57 plate FL2 has always gained time.
I would estimate that it gains about a minute every 10 days.

Drive quicker to catch it up!!

My 07 is the same,
Seems to gain around 10mins over the course of 2 weeks

My 2007 gains a lot of time which I find irritating. All my previous cars have kept perfect time. I thought the whole point of digital clocks was that they were supposed to be very accurate. What is it with LR ? Where did JLR source the clocks ? - a lucky bag! - 2007(57) XS Auto, Rimini Red, Alpaca Leather.

How odd, mine does that as well. About 5 mins per month, but randomly it doesn't seem to gain a small amount per day but jumps forwards a few minutes at a time!

Loses a little time when youre reversing maybe.
They need to fit an atomic clock, they only loose 1 sec every thousand years, and if you find its gained more than that you can then apply for your money back.

My wifes 07 reg gains time too......I didnt believe her until i have just read this topic

The two FL2's gained time as does my D3. The fix is to correct it every now and again. So very very simple.
