Just been searching around i have a rattle/vibration buzzing between 1300 and 1600 revs from the glove box area, cant see anything obvious and it happens when the glove box is full or empty. When you say the indicator do you mean the side repeater. Did anyone take any photos to help Razz ?

Sounds like you have it to !

Just take out the left hand indicator light then you should see the bolt! Thumbs Up

Use a new similar length bolt but next size up. Also coat it in a thread sealer.

My buzzing come s from behind the steering wheel somewhere at low speed in 2nd or 3rd. Sounds like a dash panel, but pushing/pulling every one doesn't affect it. Drives me crazy!

Look at the picture in the second post in this topic which almost certainly shows what it is holding.

Slightly off topic as I have a 2003 Freelander Td4 (couldn't afford the FL2!!). Only bought it about 10 days ago but noticed Confused annoying rattle from the glove box area last night. Thought it might be the wife's lipstick, but no lipstick found!!!

Does anyone know if the fix for the FL2 would also apply to the FL1? Confused

Any advice would be much appreciated.

P.S. Searching on Google hasn't produced anything other than this excellent forum!

Ive had the same rattle from the air intake, today ive taken the indicator off and tightend the bolt. Rattle has gone. If I were to take out the bolt to apply locktite or similar stuff, would the bolt go back how it should or will something in the air intake fall out of place (I dont like the idea of a fiidly job putting the air intake back together!)?

I've had a rattle around the center of the dash - so i thought, but it turns out to be the manual dip mechanisum on the internal mirror but it rearly sounded like it was coming from the dash.
