Surely you would have an order form filled out when you paid your deposit, detailing the car and its cost, minus your deposit? especially if it physically existed in the showroom?

Yes, you can 'hear' and 'feel' it applying the brakes...maybe you weren't travelling fast enough? I think I read that you can control the speed of descent too, with the cruise control controls

Service contracts are good idea, but not at that price. We had a Mini which was £150 for 5 years/50k miles, a no brainer really.

It isn't the disks that are rusty, the calipers (they're the bits that apply the braking force of the pads to the disks)
