Simont, Thanks very much for your kind comment. It's not a difficult operation to fit it, just a little bit painstaking. If you like, I'd be happy to give you a blow by blow account of how to go about ...

Simont. In my gallery is a picture of the 1490T installed. There is a noticeable difference between the 1390 and the 1490 since the .7" is diagonal, so the 1390 is smaller in both height and widt ...

As djwhyte says "1490t" as a search will bring up a lot of detail. As a comparison, I installed my 1490T for an all up cost of about £270, including the cost of getting the mask cut. In the ...

When my OE Goodyear Wranglers wore out at 50000kms (31000miles) I changed to Michelin Latitude TourHP. These are noticeably quieter than the Goodyears and, according to my tyre shop, will last longer. ...

Hi simont, The sound quality, whilst not up to the radio's standards, is quite OK for route instructions - I have my volume at the 80% level with no clarity issues at all at our speed limit of 110kph ...

I used a piece of aluminium angle of a height that didn't mask the speaker and a length that didn't foul on the power lead as a stop. I used the existing holes that the rubber mat engages with to scre ...

Thanks for that djwhyte; the unit is not held to the mask - I put a 'back stop' in the cubby hole box and the 1490 is sandwiched between that and the mask. This eliminates any potential problem of the ...
