I don't believe it's a broken spring, I've inspected it a few times trying to find a fault, also had a service center see if they could see anything obvious.

So... much talk about changing cambelt before 10 years, now reduced to 7 years...

How many cambelts have actually broken before 12-15 years / 200 000 miles?
I imagine it's actually quite a rare oc ...

At the "humming" phase? (i almost believe "humming" from FL2 rear diffs is standard)...

seems its a common and frustrating problem - could be any number of things.
best to start with the low cost / easy elimination possibilities, like wheel balancing, brakes, cv joints, drive shafts, sh ...
