it should have been done by the bodywork repairers- take it back.

Suspension and other non bodywork will always , to some degree, corrode. As long as it is surface stuff it will be fine.

It is a legal requirement for the supplier of the plates to have their name on , togeteher with specification number for the plates.

If it was not the dealer it would be halfords or whatever
