Basically, the rubber attached to the shock shouldn't move or twist, it looks like yours is sliding up and down judging by the clean section you can see in the photo, once this has been fixed in place ...

Check the location of the other side, I would assume it's bottom. The noise sounds like a dull thud when you go over a bumpy section

Nice to have a cheap easy fix, some people have used something called tiger glue looks a bit like silicone to me but I've never used it.

You just need to silicone or glue the rubber back in place, that will stop the knocking, quite a common issue

On my 2007 HSE the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel only illuminate (green) when the lights are on. The dash light to show that the cruise is active only comes on when you set the speed

With the car running can you adjust the fan speed, if not and it's running on on full then it could be an issue with the fan resistor
