Well, they still charged me £50 even though they didn't touch the rear wheels! Just the front toes that needed doing. Think they normally charge £62 for alignment though, so I did argue myself £12 ...

Sounds good, cheers SeeFive. I've been looking for a good indy in my area - not least because the local main dealer, JLR Inchcape Southampton, are ruinously expensive. Will check them out next time I ...

Is a belt change at 7 years/112,000 miles definitely right chaps? Freelanderspecialist.com's breakdown of service intervals reckons 9 years or 135,000 miles for pre-2012 models or 9 years/144,000 mile ...

Wow. Glad your loved ones were OK in both of those accidents, and testament to build quality of the FL2 that they look comparatively unscathed compared to the other vehicles.

Doesn't surprise me t ...

I think any decent FL2 you buy would beat your Shogun on mpg. Shame you can't stretch to an sd4 auto as for me that's the one to have, as others have said, but then the td4 is a perfectly good engine ...

Someone also told me a rubber/eraser is a good way to get rid of white wax residue easily, though haven't tried it myself. Meguiars ultimate black plastic restorer is a really good product for all FL2 ...

+1 for Auto Glym aqua wax. It leaves no residue and is quick to apply as it's designed to be applied straight after shampooing and rinsing. If you wax on/wax off with two microfiber cloths and a tiny ...
