Believe it or not Bob some manufactures of cars start cold and work there way up to the middle based on a time scale and not actual engine temp and won't warn you when you are away to cook the engine. ... |

sounds like the cap is failing to vent off excessive pressure could be all gummed up with oil residue from the previous oil contamination. |

I would have a look at the high low speed relay in the engine fuse/relay box before jumping in to the BCM.

In the passenger foot well. It holds all the mini blade fuses. |

Should be able to check that large fuses in place with a multi meter or the resistance setting. No resistance fuse is U/S. |

I take it you could open the door from the inside to exit from the drivers door, and it was the button in the center of the dash that also failed to open the door? |
