Actually, I didn't think of that as I hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere. I did suck out the front transfer box and that worked well. I might be nervous poking some dirt into the autobox though.

yes, using a socket, cleaned out the plug, tapped the hex in, tried bit of pressure but you know that feeling when it just wants to strip round?

There's no fluid author plug, all dry around it. In so tight no chance of leaks! I think it will be heat as a last resort.

Yep, it is alloy, so while I'm waiting for the new one to arrive, I'll give it a good soaking in penetrating fluid. Maybe just a tickle with the blow torch. But I'm open to offers!
