Well done BTW Phil. I had trouble getting mine started after changing the fuel filter but got it going in the end thanks to the forum.

I used a 27mm socket and cut half an inch off using my saw as I was in a rush at the time bit it has seen me through two more changes since.

Avon ZX7's for me and can't complain at all about road noise or wet weather grip. Much better than the roadians that it came with. They were terrible in the wet.

I have also had the brake clunk noise but in my case it soon went away once the wheels had freed.

Thank you Alex, managed to get it started yesterday. It took a lot to get fired despite all the lines being full of diesel. But we got there in the end.
