| I believe you also need to touch the positive and negative connectors together to effect a hard reset, before reinstalling battery. Hope the problem resolves itself after your work. |

Sorry for late update, haldex pump replaced and ptu, as splines were shot. PTU and pump were ordered from Bell Engineering, all sorted now and just returned from 2k miles towing caravan.

Pump being replaced, but investigating whole gen 4 units reveal not many places doing them by post with exchange. Garage told me Bell Engineering want to see the car and issue first hand.

Thanks Nodge68, garage replaced checked, adjusted to account for that including new handbrake cables. That was my first (cheaper option) hope too.
