I was surprised too. Hence my theory or gunk dissolving in new oil. If you are doing a regular change now it wouldn’t build up for the same reason. |

Going against the grain here, but surely a fuel filter is one item that deterioration is simply is a function of mileage. If it’s good for 20k, and you do 5k a year, why not 4 years?
