Subject: Wireless Reversing Camera with 2014 Facelift Head Unit
Posted: 18th Mar 2024 7:01 pm (GMT 0)

Hi All,

I've searched the various areas for fitting reversing cameras and found several posts on wired reversing cameras.

Has anyone managed (attempted) to fit a wireless reversing camera into the existing head unit of a Facelift 2014 Freelander 2 with Factory Fitted SatNav etc., based in the UK.

If so, are there any recommendation on what camera to buy and any other cables / adaptors I need to source?

Thanks in...

view forum post
Greetings!
So for past year i've experienced a slight whining from my rear diff. Now it has gotten worse, so I decided that I would do a full rear axle rebuild - Subframe replacement (300 EUR new from Poland), and a full diff rebuild. Not to take my friends lift for a whole week, I found a used rear diff for 100 EUR, to peacefully replace the bearings in my spare time and later just to swap the whole unit. The thing is - this secondhand diff seems to be in tip-top shape....

view forum post
The car was working fine, starting without issue that morning and a couple of times before parking on the drive.

I then blew the fuse for the power out, plugging in a Tyre inflator, with an obvious issue.

I wasn't sure where the correct fuse was, so I pulled a few, not sure which ones, then refitted, found the blown one and replaced.

Since then, every time I press the start button it goes into a system check, all lights (heads and sides) come on and cannot be turned...

view forum post
I have a FRLR model 09 TD 2.2. I noticed recently a heavy smell of diesel fumes in the cabin when I am driving for a while in an ascent and the engine is hot. The technician said it could originate from the EGR valve and If I want a temporary solution I could try changing the COVER - ENGINE COMPARTMENT and the INSULATOR - DASH PANEL. However, the cost of changing these parts is not negligible and I would like to hear opinions about the possible cause and suggested remedy for this problem.

view forum post
Hello there, so my 2012 facelift GS has manually adjusted heated leather seats to which I'd really like to add an armrest. From what I can gather this isn't easy as the seat frame has an extra welded on bracket, so a change of seat from a breakers is required. Most of the seats I see advertised are both heated and electrically adjusted. Is adding the electric adjust do-able? Presumably need re-programming somehow, assuming the wiring is there? A few months hence, I checked the fluid and found the reservoir coated with an oily black deposit and the fluid brown and watery rather than clear and green. The juddering whilst turning the steering stationary is intermitent and probably due to the resevoir filter being clogged up.
