I have GAP IID BT. It's well made and has a very nice interface with Iphone/Android. Excellent for diagnostics and real-time info. You can use it to change the car configuration file. Unfortunately it won't do throttle body calibration and it will only do key coding in the latest >2012 cars.

wow 103 views and 1 answer ( Thank you for reply ) Looks like there is lots of interest but not much kit out there.
I hope I dont kick myself for getting my new ( to me ) fFeelander. I could not bring myself to pay anyone else to work on my own vehicle. Perhaps I should not get rid of my old Disco quite yet.

The dealer tool which presumably does everything is the IDS SDD which is very expensive. Ebay is full of kits like this

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-Land-Rov...SwZSFXJexY

Which are far cheaper but I've never heard comment on how good they are. Anyone?

I've got the iCarsoft Lr V2.0
Pleased with it so far,has sorted certain problems I didn't even know I had. At around £130, it's worth it for the DIY'er.
Easy to use and the more you use it, the more you realise there are so many different functions on it.

Thanks for the help guys. I will try and do some research on these suggestions. Of course the best result is, I buy it,code the keys and then never have to use it again. Plan for worst and hope for the best.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VXDIAG-VCX-NANO-OBD2-Diagnostic-T

I bought a cable and software from a site called British Diagnostics. Complete rubbish, would not work and after one email from the company they ignored me. I got my £99 back only by using Paypals returns system.

I have now just bought a VXDIAG VCX NANO from ebay. EBay item number:233064378977.
I bought from this seller because, unlike most he is uk based.
When the item arrived the software cd was blank but the seller very quickly pointed me to a download site.
All set up now and working now. Note you need WINDOWS 7. But that is easy using a VM.

All seems to work as advertised using SDD I can see and clear fault codes plus read the advice to fix any faults. I have used it to enable "trailer module" which is handy as I have fitted a towbar and tow regularly. Also used it to enable the dipping mirrors on reverse selection, plus it updated the car software.

Well worth the £77.70, the stealer would have charged me that much just to enable trailer module.

Yes 2008, shame it cannot be selected other than with SDD.

Sorry Steve, all i have is the ebay contact. You could try the Shenzhen Acartool Auto Electronics Co., Ltd facebook page.

But I would just use the contact seller link on ebay.
