If you want, i am jumping on this band wagon and going to make myself some serious money

I am starting a firm that will handle all aspects of fighting the claim for parking

Simply send us the notice received, We will contact them to say we reject the claim.

We will then handle further demands until they cancel the claim

If we stop it within the 28 days you pay my company £50, if they stop after 30 days you Pay my company £80 if they don't stop within this time a £120 payment to my company to cover the extra administration that is due in sending the £80 fine to them.

Please make cheques payable to "Handle- Bar & Moose Tash LDP"

How does that sound? I'm sending out flyer to all the old peoples home in the UK,

So most of you will receive one, if when yours arrives, send the documents with a stamped addressed envelope and a cheque for £3.60 and you received a Free Forum sticker Whistle Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

This topic was covered some time ago on Martin Lewis " Money saving expert.com" forum.
The bottom line is because you have not entered in to a contract, the invoice " and thats all it is" is not a fine or sumons like you would get from the police etc and aint worth the paper its printed on.
If you do decide to pay up then you are agreeing to their terms blar blar blar and therfore excepting responsability for your actions. Its up to you but I would just use their paper for starting my fire lol Rolling with laughter

I have had one of these scam parking tickets not from a services but from a retail park it was free parking for 2 hours, but the driver of my vehicle left the car park to go to another shop after shopping at one of the shops the car park serves, apparently according to their rules you can't do that so they got a ticket, they wanted £60 Laughing rising if not paid in the time allowed, it got to about £300 before they stopped sending their demands.

If they had asked for £10 I would probably have paid because I didn't know then what I know now, as it was I googled the company name and it came back with all sorts of scam stories.

The whole thing is run on intimidation, (don't pay) there's a lot of interesting cases on the net, I still enjoy browsing this site
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=60
to read some unbelievable tales. What if there were no hypothetical situations?

Idea Send them a 1st Reminder Notice - the subject of which is:

1: That if they do not desist from sending you libelous, intimidating, and deceitful communications' intent upon perpetrating a fraudulent claim, then you will have no hesitation in seeking redress through the proper legal channels.

2: Should they not head your lawful request and mitigate the distress their actions have and continue to cause, then you will without further notice to (state company XYZ issuing these notices) and any and all of its appointed agents or representatives, instruct Counsel to seek a full and total recovery of all consequential looses and costs that flow from their unlawful harassment.

Send that by Recorded Mail forthwith - in doing so you place the onus on them to retract, and you are setting a datum point from which you can then legally (should you wish to do so) pursue redress.

It's your call - destroying their communications is not going to stop their aggressive behaviour. And, worst still it leaves you with no evidence of their improper behaviour.

I am waiting now for the threatening court action letters, the longer they keep it up the more it costs them.

I ran it past my little brother, a lawyer and specialises in advising the police nationally in the use of CCTV.
The first thing he did was laugh, the photographic evidence they have, which is also online, shows the vehicle being driven in and driven out. At no point does it show the offence as I, or rather, the driver, cough, may not have parked at all and simply driven round for 2h36m itself not an offence.

I will let them carry on, then it all goes to MOTO with a thnak you for your services which we no longer require.

Just catching up on this thread, makes for interesting reading.

Last year I broke down (Audi overheated) and was a mile away from Reading services so I drove there slowly! Had to wait nearly three hours to get rescued by the RAC. Wonder what would have happened in that situation?!
