Service indicator

Can anyone tell me if my 2009 GS Auto should be telling me my car is due a service, It was servoced by a main dealer on the 2nd October 2010 and is booked inj for the end of this month. I thought it would be shouting at me that a service was due, but nothing. Is it missing this feature or was it only fitted to some cars. As usual I am sure someone on this forum will have the answer so I will thank you in advance.

On mine 30 days before the service is due a "30" appears when I first start it up then it disappears, then It counts down every day and goes -1 and so on for every day you go over, I'm assuming it would be the same for the mileage if I did more than 15k a year.
Surely all models will have this feature?

Nope, it's not missing. You can find out how much is remaining...
Just follow the procedure to reset the indicator(s) and do not reset either of them.
Instead, just go/scroll to the "END" option and by exiting the reset procedure, the current values will be shown.
Read thoroughly the thread on how to reset the service indicator, on the Maintenance section.

At my last service, the stealer obviously did not reset service indicator correctly as it started countdown after about four months. Once I established that it didn't really matter, I let it run on. Once it counts to -200 (and a few) days, it just gives up reminding you and shows only the odometer reading on start-up.
