Do they have a park light? I don't think they do Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Most cars will swap from indicator to a single side lamp when the ignition is switched off, does the Freelander not do this?

That's strange?
Most cars allow you to have a single lamp front and rear, it saves battery drain.
With the Freelander then, you will have front and rear sidelamps, number plate lamps and dash lamps illuminated all night?

I had with a single parking light was a Mk 3 Cortina, controlled by the indicator stalk, from memory my TD5 Disco had parking lights I think, but all four lights would come on but not the panel or number plate lights. Parking lights are the side lights, though the general consensus nowadays is that side lights are for parking only, not to be used when moving. If battery drain concerns you it is possible to turn down the brightness of the panel lights that should keep the side lights lit for another couple of minutes:lol:

Sorry Popeye, we get sidetracked sometimes Laughing

A dodgy connection may be a possibility? Do you have means of measuring power at the fuse and trace from there, to the switch and beyond.
Have you physically checked, sometimes fuses, bulbs "look" ok, but are not, hope you get it sorted Thumbs Up

You could try swapping the lamp holder complete with lamp to the other headlight, if works then swap the lamps, process of elimination. That way you can rule out the lamp and lamp holder Thumbs Up

Because the Freelander 2 does not have park lights Rolling Eyes

You can switch your sidelights on and have both on if you wish to park with lights on

If your asking something else try explaining yourself better Wink Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
