I doubt you'll get 5.1 surround out of the headphone socket...

just thought on this, what about the AUX socket on the FL2, isn't that a headphone socket in reverse, standard 3.5 jack plugged in via my kensington ipod dock gets surround sound

Great when watching movies stuck in traffic, volume cranked up, Transformers blasting each other, rockets wizzing round and the bloke in the car next to you thinking what the Censored Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Opted for some PC Speakers £30, hooked them up with the supplied red/white to headphone socket lead and...... Censored ! I have to pump up the volume on the tv to maximum to hear anything out of the PC speakers! Looked through the menu's on the LG TV and couldnt find anything of any use. Would a red/white cable at each end plugged into the aduio out in the TV work?

Just incase there was something wrong with the new speakers I plugged them into my PC and even on a 1/4 volume they rock the house so theres nothing wrong with them

If you have plugged them in via the headphone socket, they might be a separate volume control in the menu,

I would look at the audio out on the back of the TV, might make a difference, Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Tonga Green

I've always found problems when plugging anything other than headphones into TV headphones sockets.

If there is any sort of output on the back/side of the TV I would look at that.

The obvious is a SCART with a SCART->AV connector (gives Red/White/Yellow outputs - yellow = picture)

If you can list any other connections available we might be able to help further.

If there is a scart connection - is there a picture next to it showing a square and an arrow? 2002 Honda VFR800
