Can someone please tell me the minimum pad and disc thickness. TBH its just the discs I am after as I can look at the pads and make a judgment call 3-5mm time for replacment in my books - Which I have done once so far .


I have had a search around for the information but cant seem to find it anywhere and refuse to take the tank to the dealer for something I can do myself without effecting the warranty.

Replaced front discs with the pads on the front as the discs seem to wear quite a bit, although I let pads get down to about 2mm. First set of pads/discs on front lasted 40,000 miles. Rear pads replaced at 40,000 miles as well, but left discs as seemed okay.

A fiend fitted who is a mechanic these for me. Used Brembo pads/discs as these are what landrover use.

I had difficulty finding that info, but as I under stand the following should be correct.

Disc :- front new 28mm min 26mm, rear new 12mm min 10mm, pads 2mm min, parking brake shoe 1mm.

look on the outer edge of the discs. arround the edge you should see the run out groves, these are the max limmit of wear and should be changed.
