United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Rimini Red

Do they have any benefit? I think fuel consumption and less muddy splashes to the front have been mentioned in the past? Presume fitting to a MY10 means self tapping screws into the bumper? Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

Not exactly Junior. There are three screws, two fit as per via one of these metal things that clips onto the plastic. The new thrid one, if retro fitting is self tapping, no doubt on the 2011 model, it screws into one of those metal things.

They cure the problem of water being thrown onto the windscreen in large quantities when sometimes driving through puddles/potholes. Mine hasn't done that once since I fitted them!

No effect whatsoever on fuel either + or -

Slightly improves the front aesthetics of the car 'in my opinion'

Cheap and simple to fit, well worth the money for the safety aspects of the first issue alone
Very Happy

On the basis of "Safety" as raised by Wing, can someone post the official LR Part Number so that I can order a pair for that quiet astonishing sum of GBP£10 that Mr Pinks quotes. Thank You.

As ever a fountain of knowledge. Many Thanks

I'm not prepared to pamper her Ladyship or her FL2 (especially as it might get replaced within 9mths if you get my drift) so only Front Spats required re that safety issue.

All that other kit would only come into play should her Felix stay long term and be refreshed front bumper n rear arse.

Yes, but if you dont buy a new FL, you could indulge your passion for superbikes! Thumbs Up

I just chucked in the other prices to tempt you. That said, you could get the parts a bit cheaper w/o too much trouble.

Probably best to remove them "5 minute job" before going off road on ruts rocks or deep snow. Would be o.k going forward as they are quite flexible, but reversing would probably rip them off.
