Just one week to go!

Our new SD4 HSE is now in the garage awaiting PDI. We go to the garage next Saturday to do the handover so that on the Tuesday all we need to do is turn up and drive it away.

We are getting very excited now. You wouldn't believe we are in our 50's... we feel like kids in the build up to Christmas!!!

More next week when we have been introduced to our new beastie.

Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

I think I'll just go to bed and not get up until the 1st March. Hopefully I'll sleep through the extra days and just dream of my FL2.

I am still not sure that this "life" thing isn't just an elaborate computer program on some intergalactic beings desktop PC... can't he/she/it just program out the next week and make tomorrow March 1st? It is only fair isn't it.

It might be worth you contacting your dealer for an update.

My TD4 HSE was originally due at the dealers by 13th March but last week I was told it would be arriving no later than the 6th March..

Original date was 2nd week of April but have been informed by dealer that it will be in 2nd week of March

It's so exciting! Mine is at dealer (had sneaky peek today when I took V5 and V317 over). Going to take delivery on Wednesday...
Hope everyone gets theirs soon too.

I am going to bed now for the last time as a non-FL2 owner. Tomorrow, at 9am, I pick up my new FL2 SD4 HSE.

I hope I sleep!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Got it!

What a super car this is. Wife drove the 70 miles from dealer back home. 40mpg and that is 60-70mph mostly motorway. Gearbox is smooth and very fast considering what it is and we haven't gone past about 1/4 throttle yet!

Dealer suggested that we don't hold back and said that running in tyres/brakes etc is worthwhile but said that the engine would benefit from being pushed a bit even from the start. Does that sound reasonable?

Great colour too - Baltic Blue!

Photo to follow soon (when the sun comes out!)

Glad to here it PaulC Thumbs Up

Sounds like how I felt when I collected my second hand 2007 FL2 GS.

Had 3 Celica's over about 10 years - what a change - wish I'd done it sooner.

Never felt more at home in a vehicle as I do now - just wish I'd been able to afford a newer one - but there is still time Whistle 2002 Honda VFR800

The emergency services have always treated their cars hard from the off.

That said, modern technology states it shouldnt need running in like it did years ago. Personally, I'd give it 3/4 throttle and not labour the gears. Brakes/tyres will be bedded in after 50 miles.
