Many years ago I saw a red/green glow in the sky in Leeds, nothing as bright as what the above picture is showing but 3 of us saw it and was on the local weather news,

If it was due North that you saw these colours in the sky, it was probably caused by methane gas being released into the atmosphere from CG's chicken ranch before he went green. Wink

Wow, superb photo's. Thanks McPhers.
I wish I could go and take photo's like that. Years ago I used to watch a programme called 'space night' on a satellite channel if we were quiet on nights, it was photo's and video of Earth from the space shuttle, set to music.

Makes you feel insignificant in the grand scheme of things looking at them. Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!

I once had a job to photograph a building at night with all the associated light trails of traffic etc.

The woman then asked "oh I've heard you get the Northern Lights up there so can we get them in the background too please?

She needed it done that saturday night.

Of course I phoned god and booked the Northern Lights for twenty mins that saturday......

As per normal then. For me I always get the voice mail messages

God is busy right now, your call is important to us:-
press one for weather changes
two for general prayer answering services
three for entry to heaven enquiries
four for miracles
or five for general doom and gloom forecasts
If you are a banker please press 666 for prompt attention on our special "red hot line"

You are number 3 billion and twenty two in the queue and your call will be answered during this millenium"

They were attempting a push into the farming community in the area.
It was all to no avail of course as we know farmers only ever change their pants/socks/agas once in a generation
