Would you be a bit :censored: off?

My FL2 had a wheel bearing done the end of last week, had to have a new hub and ABS sensor. Took 2 weeks to get the job finished as the garage was 'so busy' but anyhow its now done.

A day after it returned I noticed the wheel nut covers were missing on the wheel the bearing was done on, they were definitely all there before as I wash it myself and always wash the alloys by hand. So I text the guy that repaired it, just politely asking if my wheel nut covers were still at his garage as they were all missing and he said he'd check his garage. Hes just replied today, a few days later, to say he did put them back on but they were badly damaged so all 4 must of fallen off.

I can't see how all 4 would come off in 4 days when on my back left wheel 2 of the covers are cracked in half (dad damaged them) but have stayed on for a year without falling off or even coming loose as they're a good fit, I did only buy them new about 15 months ago.

Its no biggie, I mean a new set of 16 genuine chrome ones is about £8 but it has Censored me off a little.. FL2 GS

Genuine LR style wheel nuts are steel with an aluminium cover which is crimped onto the nut so they cannot come off. Perhaps you’d be better off with those . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Personally wouldn't go back to that garage in future.

As for wheel nuts, do LR (or aftermarket suppliers) make stainless versions without chromed covers like they do for Defender?
