Shiver me timbers

Got off work tonight and this is what the instruments were telling me. By the time I got home, it was reading -14F. It was so cold that it had black vertical lines across the entire display.

Sorry, I can't figure out how to make the image appear within my post? I posted it on a site that I moderate, copied the link, and used the "Img" before and after the link. Still won't appear?

Needs to be in your gallery first. Once there, copy and paste the 'bb code' you see below the picture - Or just get it into your gallery and someone will do the pasting for you Thumbs Up

I'm not sure which is worse, the temperature or the 19.1 mpg Rolling Eyes Actually this is the best mpg I've seen, and by my calculations, is optimistic. At my last fill-up, I was getting around 17.
(Keep in mind that 1 gallon UK= 1.2 gallons US.)

Between the low temperatures and the fantastic mileage, one way or another I'm getting punched in the gentleman's region.

I live in Minnesota. The vehicle started right up last night, but the transmission was none too pleased. She was acting as if she couldn't decide what gear to use at any given moment.

Forgot to mention that, with windchill it ended up being MINUS 36 Celsius, and that wasn't anywhere near what the lowest temperature was in the state.

For sure it's starting OK and the consumption is alright, because I can bet it is a gasoline engine, right?
And gasoline engines start OK down to and beyond -40 degrees Celsius.

I'll bet she was rather smitten with your accent Cool

Yes, it's a gasoline engine. For whatever reason, LR decided not to send us all of the fancy-schmancy vehicle choices that you get. Only 'choice' is gasoline and automatic transmission for us losers.

Adam, it's time to get married. Here's Eve. Pick! Laughing

Joking aside, it's a good engine and if taxes and fuel prices here were smaller I would have picked the 3.2 engine with autobox.

Not quite $1/gal. 3,45US (2,56 Euro) for premium, which is probably paltry pocket change compared to what you are sodomized for at the pump.

So, in other words, almost 1$/Liter.
Still good. Here is 1.2Euro/Liter.
