Yes... Rolling Eyes
I am beginning to receive emails from friends asking me if this is not somehow a form of censorship.
I've said no and redirected them to this topic... Confused

As Alex points out, the main interest is lubricity - reducing carbon deposits has been supported with some empirical evidence.
I don't know what DG has access to but photos of parts from engines run mostly on high sulphur diesel are unlikely to appease/convince readers. That said, DG had mentioned the poor quality of fuel in SA even with high sulphur, and the detriments thereof. Unfortunately, I can't refer back since the original thread isn't available.

We need a tribologist with access to HFRR test equipment to do some comparative lubricity tests. At least then we'd have figures to confirm any benefit from 2SO. Real world examples would be good though.

We'll have to be patient while DG finds something to present.

Can anyone tell me what the spec/rating letters of the Oil was ie FB/FC. Been buying it for years and just got a bottle from ASDA at £4 but not now sure if the grade is right. (it's FB). Offset your Carbon emissions by boycotting Baked Beans and all Green Vegitables.

The eagerly awaited return of the 2-stroke oil thread is here... http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic878.html

Sorry it's taken so long to get back online, but at 36 pages it was a lot of information to read through and tidy up.

Please keep the discussion friendly and informative Thumbs Up

Some good advice too. Don't put petrol in a diesel. They don't run well.
