Whatever you do, don't follow my example and put the drivers carpet mat in the washing machine - I didn't realise they put a soluble 'stiffening' agent in it; it's now very limp to say the least. Whilst I'm on the subject why does no car manufacturer sell individual car mats? Before my error with this one, it was (surprise) always the drivers one that wore out and yet we're expected to buy a complete set to replace one. Of course, the answer is margins and profit, but really......!

As most of the fabric on the Mats is bionded to Rubber/Plastic derivative you can do as you wish with them.
mine.. I power wash them after scubbing with any make of carpet shampoo. Hang em up to dry on the washing line. Offset your Carbon emissions by boycotting Baked Beans and all Green Vegitables.

Well, all I can say is, from bitter experience, you can't put them through a washing machine - at least the ones that Land Rover sell in Australia. Sad

On my previous Freelander1 I got a quare carpet tile, cut it to fit in the area that was continually wearing away.
I rounded the corners then bound the edge with Polypropelyne webbing, then stuck the Square tile to the carpet with spray on carpet/flooring adhesive.
Then when the tile area got worn I just replaced it with another tile using the same Poly-P binding. Offset your Carbon emissions by boycotting Baked Beans and all Green Vegitables.
