The lights are from an 2009 Model (RHD exported to germany, 24500 miles) i would recom. the "comfortable" way in installing the lights: go to the dealer and setup "Xenon Lights" via software and thats it. The leveling stuff is more a questions what the vehicle is equipped with (i was only testing the stuff on a 2010 model FL2 with manual leveling and its was working).

They will work once the vehicles OBC has been coded to accept XENONS. Technically they will be illegal as you need auto levelling with XENONS. Manual levelling is not sufficient, the auto levelling is not for heavy loads in the rear.
You wont have auto levelling if your car has factory fitted halogen lamps, and its not a worthwhile retro fit due to expense and sensor installation on the suspension
Also some european headlamps with the lever for RHD only give you a horizontal beam which does not kick up 15' to the left and you wont see road signs properly.

United Kingdom

You plug 'em straight in but you need to get the car coded for them to work cira £50 from 10 for cash.

You can do the leveling yourself as per non xenons inside the car.

Plenty on ebay in the UK Ex-2009 Freelander 2 HSE Auto owner
