CD Changer Question

Hello everybody,

I picked up my LR2 last Saturday and it is hard for me to be happier - it is an awesome car, even better than Volvo S60 I used to own Thumbs Up There is one thing though that bothers me a bit: the CD changer goes to the next disc after it finishes playing the last song on the current CD. To my taste, it is kind of annoying. Is this a bug or a feature? I checked CD options but there was nothing configurable to change this behavior.

Mikhail

I don't understand your problem, surely if you have a disc changer you have music you want to listen to on a journey. So a natural progression is for the music to flow to the next CD or all you have to do is press a numbered button corresponding to the CD slot you want to listen to. Better still go to the CD menu and press the random all discs and hear music from all CD's or if you don't like that then turn the CD palyer off!

The problem is that I would prefer to switch between CD's manually. Automatic switching between CD's is especially annoying when I choose one of the last songs on the CD for playback and then instead of playing the first song the changer changes CD. But if it is a feature and it can not be changed, I guess I will have to live with it.

I could not imagine it working any other way and would think that after listening to a CD you would not normally want to listen to it all over again, and if you do then you can hit the repeat button.

In my opinion it would be strange for it not to roll over to the next CD and keep the party going. Whistle

Simple solution to this problem. Only load one CD, leave the other slots empty. Mine repeats every time in this set up, hope it works on yours.

Best solution is connect an Ipod. I have a 4Gb Nano and it works really well. You can also have as many repeats as you want without the need for CDs.

I do understand your points and I am not saying that they are wrong. All I am saying is that I would personally prefer it to work differently and there seems to be no option of making it work the way I want. No big deal - I can always leave only one CD in the changer or make 5 copies of it as was suggested Very Happy

I too can solve your problem.

Would you swap your 6 CD unit for my single CD unit, then you can put your CD's in one by one and choose to your hearts content.

A trade that benefits both parties. Now there's a solution Laughing

You could also plug in your Ipod so the CD will never end Very Happy
